Winter Horseman – Grand Award Photo of the National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year Contest, 2016.
It captured a solitary horseman galloping through a snow-covered landscape in Inner Mongolia. The interplay of light, motion, and cold gave it an almost mythical quality — a moment frozen in time that evokes both adventure and tradition.
